Mike Shimamoto is a psychology graduate from the Ateneo de Manila University. He is currently applying for a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy for kids and teens. He previously worked as a Guidance Associate for Maria Montessori Children’s™ School Foundation, specializing in guidance program research and development, and as a Program Officer and Outreach Coordinator for the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation, specializing in module and program formulation, as well as program facilitation and individual counseling. Before that, he worked as a Deputy Community Builder for the Magna Anima Education System, Inc, focusing on program development and seminar facilitation. He has also done work in community development and disaster-response under the ABS-CBN Integrated Public Service as a Project-Based Consultant. He has experience in expressive-arts-related teaching, such as theater, singing, songwriting, movement, and improvisation with the Make Believe Theater Productions as a Head Teacher and Module Developer.
