Dr. Grace Brillantes-Evangelista

PhD, RPsy

Dr. Grace Brillantes-Evangelista, PhD, RPsy is a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Supervisor,  and Consultant with over 20 years of experience in psychotherapy and psychosocial practice. She holds a BA in Social Sciences: Behavioral Studies (magna cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Manila, and completed her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her doctoral research focused on the use of visual arts and poetry in alleviating depression and PTSD among adolescents with histories of abuse. She is a certified Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapist with specialization in Focusing-Oriented Expressive Arts (FOAT®) by the International Focusing Institute based in New York and Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute based in Santa Rosa California, USA.


Dr. Grace provides psychotherapy, expressive arts–based interventions, and professional supervision. Her clinical work is grounded in integrative and holistic approaches, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, constructive-narrative psychotherapy, focusing-oriented therapy, Focusing-Oriented Expressive Arts (FOAT®), and contemplative practices. She has particular expertise in working with the adolescent and adult population, and cases of  trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and school- and community-based mental health concerns. In addition to clinical practice, she is an educator, researcher, and principal author of school community wellbeing and mental health care protocol research and manual supported by the Department of Health. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Grace currently finds joy in pottery, cherishing the grounding and centering it brings. She is married to Dr. Francis Evangelista, and they have two wonderful children, Aletheia and Justin.
