Karyl Christine Abog

MA, RPsy, RPm

Karyl Christine A. Abog, MA, RPsy, RPm is a licensed psychologist, and an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology in U.P. Diliman where she obtained her degree in Master of Arts in Psychology. Karyl has been providing psychotherapy services to adolescents and young adults in university-setting and out-patient clinics since 2017. She completed her certification training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy from The Centre of Mindfulness Studies in 2018. Karyl has experience in facilitating workshops and learning sessions catered to  various groups, such as university faculty members and staff, university students, penal personnel, public school teachers, and adolescent cancer patients and survivors. She is currently involved in projects with the purpose of transforming the university into a nurturing community, as well as preventing human rights violations in places of detention, among others. Karyl also serves as a volunteer mental health clinician at Circle of Hope, a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing mental health services to underserved communities.
