Mikaela Cabochan, MP (Cand.) obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University in 2020. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology in Ateneo de Manila University. She has been a mental health practitioner since 2022, conducting research focusing on topics such as public discourse on mental health, and interventions focusing on socioemotional development for children in conflict with the law. As a clinician, Mikaela focuses on humanistic psychology, trauma-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Based Therapy in her work with children, teens as well as their families. During her free time, she volunteers in UGAT Foundation, where she provides low-fee counseling services and is a responder at their crisis line, UGAT SandaLine.
