Joanna Herrera, PsyD, RPsy is a licensed Psychologist in the Philippines and in California. Dr. Herrera obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
Prior to returning to the Philippines, she was a clinical supervisor and director of a community mental health program in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds private practice as a clinical psychologist, provides services and consultation to organizations, and is involved in the training and supervision of other psychologists and mental health professionals.
She is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Circle of Hope Community Services, a non-profit organization that provides mental health services for underserved and marginalized sectors. Dr. Herrera started formal mindfulness training in 2008. She completed a Compassion Cultivation Training conducted by Stanford CCARE and the Mindfulness Educator Essentials course with Mindful Schools in Oakland, CA.
